Thanks to the entire committee for helping put on our 50th Reunion. We’ve heard nothing but rave reviews & so happy that so many attended. We missed those who chose not to come, or were unable to & missed those who are no longer with us.

Tour of Walt Whitman High School
We got to walk the halls of the new Walt Whitman. The school has been rebuilt, so we were not able to test the combination on our old lockers or check out the TV dome, but we how they rebuilt our highschool.
Welcome Happy Hour/Dinner
This was a great way to kick-off the weekend and start the fun of catching up with old friends. Around 50 people came to Happy Hour & an informal pep rally with pom poms in the lobby bar at the Bethesdan Hotel. A large group went to Guapo’s for dinner & others went to smaller gatherings.

50th Reunion Main Event
The "Main Event" was at the Bethesdan Hotel. We had the entire 2nd floor, which we needed for approximately 235 attendees. We had an evening of recapturing friendships, reminiscing about the “good ol’ days”, and catching up on the past 50 years. It was a low-key, high-fun evening with good friends.
Among the highlights were the "In Memory" video of the 82 classmates that we lost too soon. A huge thanks to Jon Miller our class president who shared all of the videos he received from NBC celebrities. We were able to create a "Welcome Video" with them. Please note: “These were personal messages shared with me (Jon) for the group but not to be disseminated publicly. Please be respectful.” We hope you understand and are happy you enjoyed our little surprise.
We had fun gathering with our elementary school groups for a photo, and an entire group photo. The appetizers and food were abundant and delicious and there were still lots of people who weren’t ready to leave when the event ended at 11 pm.

Brunch at Matchbox—We were given a private room for the over 30 people that attended to reminisce about the weekend. Other elected to do smaller groups in Bethesda.
We also have a Facebook page. There are lots of photos posted there & we're working to put them up here as well. Videos coming soon.
